SSE Riga
is registered as a non-profit limited liability association.
The school
is located in an art nouveau (Jugend) building erected in 1908 on Strelnieku
iela in downtown Riga. Renovated in 1993-1994, it was officially
inaugurated by the King of Sweden and the President of Latvia on 8 November
1994.
SSE Riga
offers academic training in Economics and Business to students from the
three Baltic States. Academic coursework consists of a two and a
half year full time intensive Bachelor program with courses similar to
those offered at leading business schools throughout urope and the United
States.
There are
about 250 students enrolled at any given time.
SSE Riga
has an international faculty.
All courses
are taught in English.
Mission:
The Stockholm
School of Economics in Riga's mission is to:
assist in
creating sustainable development of the Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian
economies by supplying graduates with state of the art training in economics
and business;
provide the
citizens of the Baltic States an institution of integrated academic excellence;
conduct applied
research in areas revelant for the long-term development of the economies
of the Baltic States;
offer executive
training and development to the business community and society at large
in the region.
